Just not “lutheran enough”

In mid-December I interviewed with a lutheran church in the baltimore area. I apparently did well enough to make the church think that they wanted a second interview with me. After trying to establish a time and date for the second interview, I recieved a voice mail message this afternoon stating that the church was moving in a different direction and looking for someone a little more lutheran…
So, my question is this: How is it that you did not know that I wasn’t lutheran enough after the first interview?
These are the times when I am left to just shake my head and hope that God knows where I am headed, because I really have no clue anymore.

What exactly does being “more Lutheran” entail? Sometimes I really like the idea of denominations, other times I just don’t get the point of them.
I think it has something to do with the fact that I don’t like to wear [s]dresses[/s] i mean robes….
i am not sure, to be honest… it seems to me it is an inside the church dispute… but it makes no sense, seeing as though their former youth guy (who is now doing worship stuff) is from an assemblies background…
oh well… there is always Eugene
