The other day I was talking to a friend, and he was asking me about my plans for the future… I told him that I am praying and soaking on an opportunity to be a part of a church planting team… He asked me if I was excited, to which my response was “in theory”…
Right now, the idea excites me.
Right now, it would seem that this is a perfect fit for me and who I am.
Right now, from all I can tell this will be amazing.
Right now, this is begining to sound like a Van Halen song.
I am psyched about the way this is begining to flesh out… It would seem that I will be joining with a team of like-minded people, passionate about community, about authenticity, and about impacting the lives of those around us. It would seem that I am about to join a team of people whose strengths compliment mine, and who will be able to work well together… but, as I said earlier, this is all still theoretical.
In theory this will be cool… Now I just need to wait until mid-March when we will gather for the first time together, and really begin to flesh out our identity as a team. Where some of us will for the first time put our feet on the ground of the area in which we want to minister. Where we will be able to confirm our calling to the people who we are looking to serve, and flesh out our goals, vision, and strategy.
So, for the next month and a half, I am being patient, and soaking on this calling. Praying for clarity, wisdom, discernment, and a few more sales (hey, I’ve got to pay my bills!)…
I would ask that you pray too, please…
