Sometimes all you can do is shake your head…

I left work early tonight.

I left tired, frustrated, and mad.

It would seem that I lost a significant amount of money today… and by that I mean in the range of $3000-$4000.

Many people do not realize the importance of customer service surveys that are sent out by car dealerships after a customer has bought a car. These surveys play a huge role in determining how much a car salesman is paid.

Tonight I had a disatisfied customer return to have some work done on his vehicle… for the third time his car was not fixed… He is now livid…

I understand his anger, I am angry too.

It would appear that I am about to recieve my first bad survey…

Customer service surveys are pass fail tests… they may come with five blocks to select from, but only the blocks that say completely satisfied and excellent are passing… everything else is a failure. The failing response selected determines how disasterous the survey becomes (very good is worth half of an excellent, satisfied is like leaving the question blank, somewhat dissatisfied subtracts an excellent marking, and disatisfied subtracts two excellents)…

So now I am praying that the postal service loses this survey in the mail… or else I am looking to miss out on about three months worth of bonus and backend money…

Three to four grand (or more) gone… it makes me sick to my stomach

  1. Hi.
I feel with you. I am in the same line of work. I can imagine how those bad surveys sting. Customers don’t realize what they are doing to you if they don’t give you good ratings.
I believe, if they would know, they would be not trying to hurt yuo. Maybe we need to try to coach them better? I don’t know, some people are probably just evil and sadistic.
We are exposed to the good , the bad and the ugly :-)

Would you put my blog on to your blog roll please? I’d like to check on you every so often.

  2. Hi Bud.
This is just for correction of my web link I asked you to put on your page (because I love your blog and I hope you like mine too).
The one I sent had a misspelling in it and actually goes to a unwanted site.
    Here is the correct one.
