Today I did something a little odd…
Needing a change of scenery, some rest, and some space I checked into a hotel in downtown Baltimore…
After a good meal, some quality tv time, and some time drinking in the Baltimore skyline I am getting excited about what tomorrow looks like…
Tomorrow I will be doing something I have not done for far too long…
I will be taking part in an exercise to do something I have affectionately called wallpapering.
Tomorrow I am going to be dreaming… covering the walls of my hotel room with giant post it notes covered with ideas, dreams, vision, strategy, and whatever else pops out of my head…
This is an odd Easter for me, but at the same time this is an oddly appropriate way to celebrate the emergence of Christ from the grave (oh-oh… I said the E word!) as I begin to celebrate my re-emergence into the world of ministry. My prayer for tomorrow is that I get a clear sense of the big questions that have been bouncing around my head of late…
Where, What, and How…

Been up thinking and praying about following the advice of my oldest son and the encouragement of my husband. Both think my love of people, sales and talking would help me succeed in the auto sales business. I live in Boca Raton, FL and am thinking BMW sales should be brisk here. I love your comments and am glad to find this site. I’d have lots of studying to do, to know and understand what this business is all about. My Dad was a pretty good salesman, but used to say he didn’t think I’d feel comfortable with all the “lying with integrity” as you put it, in auto sales. He started out with Electrolux sales, moved to yacht sales and ended his career in car sales, saying that he would’ve done that first if he’d known how easy and consistent it was. As I’ve read your comments, I’m encouraged to find that you are maintaining your integrity. My son reminded me that every job can be a ministry. Planting a church is hard work, but if God is directing your path, He’ll make a way. Thanks for sharing your candid thoughts, and your authentic faith. LCC
Thanks for dropping by!
Most people are not shopping cars, they are shopping car salesmen… If your people love you, you may not make money at first, but you will in the long run as they start sending you referrals. Keep the long-view in mind, a lot of the guys that I work with do not… they make money today, but never get referrals and get ripped on their CSI scores (which costs them big bucks)…
on my blog roll there is a blog by a guy that sells bmw in chicago… that is a good place to check out as well.
Let me know how I can serve you as you decide what you want to do with this…
