April Showers bring May…

This has been an off month for all of us here. Our top salesman only has twelve cars out one has eight, and there are two of us tied at seven. With two more selling days to go there are a bunch of us a little nervous. Fortunately I have covered my draws, and am making a little more on top… but not much. I need a big Saturday and a strong Monday to finish well. I have a couple of customers that I have invested a good bit of time into this month, that are buyers, but keep pushing back when they are going to do the deal… that can be frustrating.

I have been a little irritable lately, and have found that I am getting a little worn down. A few too many 60 plus hour work weeks, and far too few days off are taking thier toll. Couple that with one of our sales managers who has turned up his condescension level, and I am a little weary right now.

Tomorrow morning I am going to do a little fishing before I work, hopefully that will change my attitude. Catch some trout, then come in and sell three or four cars.

I can handle that.

  3. Hey, how did it go on saturday. I hope u did well. I had a good week and I finished Saturday my personal goal with a nice spot. Monday is now just here for the preparation of the next month.

  4. saturday I got one more out. I hit the dealership quota of 8 which puts me in second place on the month to date board (which SUCKS), but I still need to bust out two more. This month has been hard for all of us, but I know that there are three or four guys that will end up owing the dealership money…

  6. I got 8 out. I am not happy with it, it was my worst month here.

    On the other hand, I DID cover my draw checks (about six of the guys that I work with were unable to do that), so I am happy about that, and I still ended up third on the board, which is pretty pathetic.

    There is a bad wind blowing through here right now, our new car sales staff is pretty well beaten down morale wise, and our sales managers are doing thier best to make it worse. I am trying to keep everyone’s spirits up, but it will be tough to do it when checks come in on thursday and half our staff owes money to the dealership.

    But, May is a new month.
