Sounds like somebody’s got a case of the Mondays…

It’s Monday morning, and this is a quick update on my life…

The beginning of the last week of the month. I currently have nine cars out for the month, I should be able to get to twelve by Saturday. Today I am tired. We had a Midnight Madness sale on Saturday night that kept us here until midnight (go figure). After a sixteen hour day we sold five new cars (a touch dissappointing, I do believe) but I got one out, so I was pleased with that.

It is 72 and incredibly humid out right now… which does not bode well for the rest of the day. I am working 8:30-9 today, and right now, I want nothing more than to climb back into bed and stay there for another 8 hours…

How’s that for motivation?

  1. Well the Midnight Madness was apparently on you guys. Only 5 cars is not really worth staying that late.
I am always tired when I have to start working at 9 am. I just don’t go to bed before 1 am.
I alway come late to work, except on Saturdays (because of the holy meeting LOL). My boss does not like me being late, but I told him, if he can make sure I get out every evening exactly when I should I will make sure I will be starting in the morning when he wants me to. Otherwise we’ll leave it as it is.
I know that not everybody can speak up like that without getting in trouble, but I just did it, and it had no consequences.

  2. I hate 9 am as well… it takes me longer to get in because of rush hour, I am sleepy, and traffic drives me up the wall.

Well, since the flop that was midnight madness, we have fired yet another used car manager… the revolving door that is the used car manager job just keeps spinning and spinning…

  3. Motorist-

You’ve got some serious cojones, man. Good for you, saying that to your boss. I would LOVE to say something like that; in fact I might sometime… You’ve inspired me!

    You’re my new hero :)

  4. Ah, the power of putting out 700 cars a month. ;)
