The fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays each year. I long ago decided that when I marry, I will be a happy man, so long as I am able to spend Thanksgiving and the fourth with my family. Through the years I have had some memorable fourths… the most memorable being while I was a freshman at the Air Force Academy, going through basic training, and celebrating the birth of our nation with those that would go on to be officers in the United States Air Force. Today, 4 July 2007 will be another one of those momentous occasions that will go down in history as a fourth to remember forever.
Today, the celebration of freedom and independence became personal.
Today, I was able to liberate from the clutches of tyranny something very special.
Today, I became the Grand Champion of the 7th annual Little Falls 4th of July Yacht Races…
For the past four years the trophy (or hardware, if you prefer) has been held captive by my tyrannical father. Today, I rescued it from his clutches, and have brought it home to enjoy the freedoms of my home…
Be in awe of my spoils:

ahhoy salty sea dog.
That’s Awesome. Reminds me of a scene from Stuart Little for some reason.
congrats man…
BTW, you misspelled “deth”, I believe the proper spelling is “deAth”.
Other than that, everything looks great!
do not mock the ship o’ deth…
Woo Hoo!!! Tell us…how’d you beat your dad?
If you must know, it was pouring down rain as we were standing in the middle of the creek. I was having control issues since i had inadvertantly knocked my trim tab out of whack when I slipped walking into the creek. I as my father rounded the turn to head for the home stretch, I realized that he was headed straight for me, so I stopped. He ran over my boat (his propeller sliced through the electrical tape that holds my lid on). He then proceeded to run into the bank and get stuck there. Technically, he did not finish the race.
WOW.
Not only are you a terriffic sailor and car sales man, but your photograph also shows that you got all the charms and good looks to be prime target for the eligable ladies out there.
How could you stay single for such a long time?
Cheers
